Debriefing Session On Management Of Election Cases

In a continued quest to uphold the Constitution and ensure independence, professionalism and impartial management of electoral cases, the Judiciary and the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) with support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) organized a debriefing session for Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeal for Malawi. The Debriefing Session took place on the 17th April, 2024 in Lilongwe.

Judiciary Tree Planting Session 2024

In a response to the President’s call for the communities/institutions to work together with government in restoring the environment in order to deal with climate change and minimize its impact, the Honourable the Chief Justice presided over the launch of tree planting season at Balaka Magistrate court.  Soon after the launch, the Honourable the Chief Justice planted a M’bawa tree and oversaw planting of 400 acacia seedlings within Balaka court premises.

✅ High Court: 45 cases registered, 35 completed, 10 pending → 78% disposal rate
