The Judiciary is from today conducting an induction training for Court Administrators in Mponela, Dowa District.
In his keynote address, the Chief Justice of the Republic of Malawi, Honourable Rezine Mzikamanda SC, stated that Court Administrators play an important role in the running of courts in the country, and the induction will provide the capacity needed to raise the bar of excellence in serving the people better. He urged the participants to support the transformative trajectory the institution is currently undertaking to improve its efficiency and effectiveness. He added that as Court Administrators, they must show leadership in the way they conduct their business; a high level of integrity, timeliness, commitment to work, and quick response to emerging issues that are critical.
Speaking earlier, Chairperson of the Malawi Judiciary Training Committee, Honourable Justice Violet Chipao, highlighted that the training seeks to empower the participants with the expertise to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of justice.
The two-day induction training has brought together Court Administrators from High Court Divisions and Subordinate Courts across the country. Facilitators at this training are from the Judiciary and the Ministry of Finance.
