𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗼 𝗸𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 𝘃 𝗠𝗘𝗖 - 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱

The High Court of Malawi, Civil Division, Lilongwe, has delivered its ruling in the matter of Madalitso Fred Kazombo v. Malawi Electoral Commission (Judicial Review Cause No. 61 of 2025). The Applicant sought leave to commence judicial review proceedings against the Commission in relation to the just conducted elections. In her ruling, Honourable Justice Violet Palikena-Chipao noted several irregularities in the application, including typographical errors, and wrong citations among others. Consequently, the Court dismissed the application but granted the Applicant liberty to refile a properly drafted application with notice to the Respondent.
