A Festive Mood Marks End of Year for Malawi Judiciary

The Malawi Judiciary on Friday 20th December 2024 at the Chichiri Court House marked the end of the year 2024 with choral performance, dance, food, and drinks.
The Honourable the Chief Justice Rezine Robert Mzikamanda SC, the Honourable the Deputy Chief Justice Lovemore Chikopa SC, and the Registrar of the High Court and Supreme Court of Malawi His Honour Innocent Nebi, took turns to commend the staff members of the Malawi Judiciary for their unity and hard work during the year 2024, and they expressed hope that the members of the Judiciary will build on the successes of 2024 as they move forward in 2025.
“I’d like to thank each one of you for making financial contributions, which have made this end of year party possible,” said Rezine Robert Mzikamanda SC, the Honourable the Chief Justice.
Honourable the Chief Justice further commended the members of staff for patronising the end of year party, while both the Honourable the Deputy Chief and the Registrar thanked Chief Justice for encouraging the spirit of togetherness among judiciary staff.
This was the third time in three successive years that the Malawi Judiciary was able to hold an end of year party, which has popularly come to be known as Ng’ombe Party, because a cow is normally slaughtered as the highlight food for the party.
