Judiciary Participates in Independence Celebrations

The Judiciary, led by the Honourable the Chief Justice, Rizine Robert Mzikamanda, SC, participated in the 2025 Independence Celebration events.

The Chief Justice, alongside Justices of Appeal, Judges of the High Court and other Judicial Officers, attended the National Day of Prayer on Saturday, joining the president, His Excellency Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, other national leaders and faith groups in thanksgiving and reflection. He later graced the Presidential Banquet held in honour of the visiting President of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko.

The climax of the celebration was the main celebration today at Bingu National Stadium. The Judiciaryโ€™s presence at these events underscores its commitment to national unity, constitutional governance, and the rule of law.
